Atlantic City, NJ, Oct. 2, 2024 - Visit Atlantic City and the Atlantic City Sports Commission had a successful summer hosting 24 events, conventions and conferences which generated 31,131 room nights and 80,984 attendees, resulting in a total economic impact of $40,359,889. This fall, Atlantic City is gearing up for an exciting event season, welcoming back popular events such as FETCH COASTAL, Atlantic City Marathon & Half Marathon and Triple Play REALTOR® Convention & Trade Expo.

Q4 CONVENTIONS, CONFERENCES & EVENTS IN ATLANTIC CITY

 

2024 Northeast Regional Carwash Convention
The Northeast Regional Carwash Convention (NRCC) was established in 1988 by car wash operators in Connecticut and has since grown to include five car wash associations from the Northeast region. The NRCC’s annual Northeast Regional Carwash Convention will take place Oct. 7 - 9 at the Atlantic City Convention Center and expects to attract a substantial number of car wash operators and exhibitors. The event will feature educational seminars and a large exhibit floor with over 350 booths. The convention expects 1,921 attendees, 1,024 room nights and $1,349,174 in economic impact.

 

FETCH COASTAL
The FETCH DNA has long been embedded in the Atlantic City Veterinary Conference (ACVC) since the acquisition of the conference, and this year will be no different. Hosted by leading voices in veterinary medicine, the FETCH event will take place Oct. 14 - 16 at the Atlantic City Convention Center and will offer charismatically clinical continuing educational sessions tailored to help veterinary professionals solve their toughest challenges in their practice in a fun and engaging learning environment that encourages connections, collaborations, and community. The event expects 2,000 attendees, 1,184 room nights and $1,734,016 in economic impact.

 

NACAC National College Fair Atlantic City
The National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC) College Fair Atlantic City was founded in 1937 and is made up of more than 27,000 professionals from around the world dedicated to serving students as they make choices about pursuing postsecondary education. Students from the surrounding areas will have the opportunity to speak with representatives from 156 schools across the country to find their perfect educational match. The NACAC College Fair Atlantic City will take place on Oct. 16 at the Atlantic City Convention Center and the event expects 2,500 attendees, and $619,014 in economic impact.

 

2024 Annual New Jersey School Boards Workshop
From Oct. 21 - 24, a senior-level audience of school leaders, education professionals and influencers in New Jersey education will gather at the Atlantic City Convention Center for quality professional development, important legal, legislative, policy and funding updates, new products and services, and a celebration of public education. The event expects 9,265 attendees, 10,445 room nights and $7,308,375 in economic impact.

 

2024 NJEA Convention
At the 2024 NJEA Convention, teachers, educational support professionals, college students preparing to become teachers, faculty and staff from the state's community colleges, and retired educators will enjoy more than 300 professional development seminars, workshops, and programs designed to help teachers and educational support professionals hone their skills and stay current in their subject areas and chosen fields. The convention will take place from Nov. 7 - 8 at the Atlantic City Convention Center and expects 15,000 attendees, 4,509 room nights and $8,720,100 in economic impact.

 

New Jersey 2024 League of Municipalities (NJLM) Annual Conference
Local government officials, elected and appointed, can build their skills and their networks at a three-day event recognized for its excellence by attendees and exhibitors alike. The event will take place from Nov. 19 - 21 at the Atlantic City Convention Center. It expects 15,650 attendees, 8,280 room nights and $14,164,004 in economic impact.

 

Triple Play REALTOR® Convention & Trade Expo
The Triple Play REALTOR® Convention & Trade Expo has attracted thousands of REALTORS®, brokers, appraisers, and other real estate professionals to the largest real estate convention and trade show of its kind in the U.S. Participants travel from coast-to-coast and around the world to learn about the newest and most exciting developments in real estate products and services. The event will take place from Dec. 9 - 12 at the Atlantic City Convention Center and expects 6,079 attendees, 3,523 room nights and $4,902,222 in economic impact.

USA Fencing 2024 North American Cup
The USA Fencing 2024 North American Cup is coming to the Atlantic City Convention Center from Oct. 4 - 7. This event will be open to division one, two and junior players in the United States Fencing Organization, and the winners of this event will have the opportunity to compete in qualifying events for the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic games. The event expects 5,000 attendees, 3,684 room nights and $3,855,174 in economic impact.

 

Atlantic City 9Ball Championships
The Atlantic City 9Ball Championships, an amateur event with five divisions will be held in the all-new convention and event space at Showboat Resort, The Terminal from Oct. 8 - 13. The event also includes mini tournaments throughout the duration of the event. This event expects 1,500 attendees, 700 room nights and $687,316 in economic impact.

 

2024 All American Sports Festival & Expo 
The 2024 All American Sports Festival & Expo will return to Tropicana Atlantic City for its 85th anniversary from Oct. 12 - 13, featuring a weekend filled with strength and physique sports. The event expects 1,000 attendees, 685 room nights and $648,983 in economic impact.

 

USA Surfing Prime Series
USA Surfing is kicking off its 2024-2025 Prime Series on the East Coast in Atlantic City from Oct. 19 – 20. This event will showcase the highest level of junior surfing in the nation, drawing talent from up and down the East for pro-level competition experiences designed to prepare young surfers for the big leagues of surfing. 2024 Olympic Gold Medalist Caroline Marks and fellow Olympians Griffin Colapinto and Caity Simmers competed in the USA Surfing Prime Series. This event expects 1,500 attendees, 126 room nights and $294,730 in economic impact.

 

Atlantic City Marathon & Half Marathon
Established in 1958, the Atlantic City Marathon is the third oldest continuing marathon in the United States. The marathon course is noted for being fast and flat, including eight miles of oceanfront Boardwalk running. The races will take place on Oct. 19 - 20 and will feature a marathon, half marathon, 5k and 10k stretches. The event expects 2,000 attendees, 175 room nights and $402,921 in economic impact.

Bally’s Atlantic City Introduces Property Updates
Following a multi-million-dollar renovation, Bally’s Atlantic City has introduced several exciting new features. The exclusive Legacy Lounge offers Bally Rewards Superstar, Legend, and Champion members stunning views of the Boardwalk and Atlantic Ocean, along with luxury amenities and a curated menu. The remodeled High Limit Slot Room features new slot machines, a private entrance, a dedicated host desk, an exclusive cashier, and private restrooms. Additionally, the new Bally Rewards Center, located on the casino floor, allows guests to join the multi-tiered Bally Rewards Program, offering rewards, tier status, exclusive offers, giveaways, promotions, and more. Lastly, the newly opened Park Place Prime restaurant was recently honored with an OpenTable Diners’ Choice Award for its outstanding cuisine, service, and inviting ambiance.

 

Borgata Gaming Room Floor Improvements
Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa has recently announced significant upgrades to its casino floor, set to infuse the space with fresh energy while enriching the overall domestic and international gaming experience. As the transformation goes underway, Gypsy Bar has closed, making way for a reimagined gaming experience featuring vibrant new designs with a contemporary touch. The resort will also introduce a new Asian cuisine concept in addition to a newly crafted bar featuring a curated selection of rare liquors from around the world.

 

Caesars Entertainment Expands Wellness Offerings
Caesars Atlantic City, Harrah’s Atlantic City and Tropicana Atlantic City are introducing wellness initiatives for meeting and event planners. As part of this investment, meeting planners at Caesars three hotels in Atlantic City will have access to wellness workshops and nutrient rich chef-curated food and beverage menus to allow guests to refresh their bodies and minds while in meetings.

 

Ocean Casino Resort Partners with Fanatics Sportsbook
In September, Ocean Casino Resort and Fanatics Sportsbook announced the opening of a retail sportsbook location inside The Gallery within Ocean Casino Resort. This retail sportsbook space will include a 100-foot elevated bar and lounge area with seating for sixty surrounded by slot machines, tables and 140 feet of LED walls for the ultimate sports viewing experience. Sports fans can place wagers at betting windows or self-service betting terminals throughout the venue and traverse a 17-foot open-air staircase that leads to Balcony Bar, a mezzanine bar and lounge. The new Fanatics Sportsbook will cater to guests looking to enjoy the ultimate VIP sportsbook experience, offering legal betting markets for all major sports including professional and college football, basketball, hockey, baseball, tennis, soccer, golf, MMA, boxing and more.

 

Angeloni's Club Madrid Reopens
Angeloni’s Club Madrid has recently reopened under new management and is paying homage to the 1980s, known as the “glory days” of Atlantic City. This retro cocktail lounge offers classic Italian food, aperitivo cocktails and a weekend brunch.

 

First of its Kind Mural Honoring Atlantic City’s World War II Heritage Unveiled

A new mural painted by local artist Heather Deegan Hires was recently unveiled on Atlantic City’s Cooper Levenson Building honoring the military and the role the destination played in World War II. This mural highlights the area's history, featuring elements of the 1940s during wartime and images of the Atlantic City Boardwalk Hall and Haddon Hall, two places that supported both the training and medical care of the wounded from overseas. While there are over 100 murals across the many walls and buildings in Atlantic City, this is the first and only one that honors the military in the destinations.
